New Logo

ListingNinja has been logoless since its launch many months ago. This weekend I had some spare time, so I made a simple ninja logo using Inkscape. I hope this will ad a bit of character to what is a pretty sparsely designed site.

New Motto?

A co-worker today told me he wished there was a way to look at an old ad that had expired in order to resolve a rental dispute. Listingninja is perfect for this kind of problem, as it automatically archives all of the listings you respond to.
"Listingninja.com -- save the ad in case the deal goes bad..."

Forgot Something?

Something that should have been there a while ago has finally been added to ListingNinja.com: the forgot password page.  Should be helpful for those users who only use the site occasionally.

Now Tracking Your Posts

Today I've added a powerful new feature to ListingNinja.com: the ability to track responses to your craigslist posts. Using ListingNinja.com, you can now easily keep track of which response belong to which post, and track conversations by user, instead of sifting through your inbox and guessing which user responded to which post.

Ninja Feeds!

One thing I'd been running into with using listingninja.com recently is that it was hard to share my listings. I tried to make an interface that gave users a lot of control over what other users could see, but it was just too complicated and required too much effort from the user.

In the latest version of ListingNinja, realeased today, to share your clipped listings, you can simply send your friends your listingninja.com url. Here's mine: http://listingninja.com/users/1. You'll also notice (if you're using a modern browser) that there is now an atom feed of your clipped listings, so your friends can subscribe and see what you've been looking at on craigslist.

Some Improvements in Usability and Some New Features

Usability:
No more notes field. I wasn't using it. Instead when you clip a listing you see the title and price (if available). After you click save you get the option to visit Listingninja.com. This is cool because it makes it that much easier to respond to the listing if you want to (instead of having to manually point your browser to listingninja.com at some later point).

New Features:
* Listingninja now stores the price of each listing if available.

* Listingninja now stores the body of the listing. Now users won't need to go back to the original listing (which is handy especially if the original listing has expired).
